PARIS

We only had a few days in Paris since we stayed so long in Zermatt...but we still managed to hit some major sites like the Luvre, Moulin Rouge, the Eiffel Tower, and Painters Square.  We stayed at the Hotel Cambon....supposedly four star....but I find it hard to believe that in any country. or city other then Paris, it would be more than two stars.

This is an artist from which we purchased two small paintings.                          Nan checking out Mona Lisa.
We really liked the way she uses bright colors.                                                They used to have a system setup where if you used a
a flash the light in the "picture chamber" would go out
and you could not see the picture for X seconds.
There was a sign explaining this and that the flash was
bad for the painting..and the sign was in several languages.
Still every few minutes somone would use a flash and out
the light would go....but they appear to have removed this
system since the last time I was there...probably gave up
                                                                                                                     on the effort.
I was looking forward to getting a picture of that sign...pity.

Guess where I am ??????                                                  Hmm...what is this? Why on earth did I take a picture
of my foot in front of the Eiffel tower?
Check out below to find out....

The last time I was in Paris I was frustrated with how everyone was taking the standard pictures of themselves in front of the Eiffel Tower....so...got on my back...stuck my foot up and snapped a photo.
This was in 1986...I was 15 years old.
You might wonder why I would do such a thing...I am still trying to figure out how a 15 year old talked his parents into letting him
travel around Europe on a train....with just his best friend...another 15 year old.   Glad I managed to persuade them because I learned a lot, but I know now that no child of mine is doing that until they graduate from college.

Well...this was the end of our trip...time to go home.  Thanks for visiting!!! And if you liked this...make the plans...and Go!
